The City of Peekskill, one of CEEP’s partner municipalities, plans to participate in the Municipal T.E.N. (Thermal Energy Network) Accelerator, which will Help Municipalities Reduce Reliance on Fossil Fuels, Lower Costs, Achieve Climate Goals, and Increase Equitable Access to Clean Energy.

“Domanski, who noted he hasn’t received a bill at his Beacon home since September, said the CCA has gotten calls to its help line from residents in each of its partner communities ‘because people are paying more attention to their bills.’ … He’s used the confusion as an opportunity to educate people about the CCA by replying to dozens of social media posts and fielding irate phone calls.”

“The CCA program moves beyond the standard model of an internship. CCA Scholars will work for their organizations for at least an entire year, with the possibility of a second year of engagement via partnerships around their Master’s Capstone projects. This sustained engagement means both a high level of student contribution to the organization, and an advanced professional development experience for the student.
